TERRI PINES FEATURES THE KIND OF COURSE THAT YOU CAN BUILD A COUNTRY CLUB COMMUNITY AROUND

Couse Details

Are you just learning to golf? Do you love golf? Or do you live for golf? Golfers come to Terri Pines with a wide range of “thirsts” for the game. We have the course for all of you! We offer every skill-level of golfer a wonderful course — where to learn or to let ‘er rip!

Our par-72, 18 holes offer as much or as little of the course as you feel comfortable handling.

We’re known for offering golfers meticulously-maintained, fair bent grass greens. The many elevation changes will challenge even the championship golfer. Our practice facilities features a driving range with plenty (25) of hitting stations, along with a practice putting green and chipping green. Work on your long game, short game and all your finesse shots.

And you’re always welcome to warm up “the big dog” before your rounds at our driving range, with 25 hitting stations.

The golf course at Terri Pines is perched on the highest point in Cullman County, surrounded by towering pines. This beautiful setting makes Terri Pines one of Alabama’s best kept golfing secrets.

The Golf Club is conveniently located within 45 minutes from both Birmingham and Huntsville, just one mile off of Interstate 65.

“Measuring 6,500 yards from the back tees and having beautiful bent grass makes Terri Pines an enjoyable golf course for members and guests while still challenging the Championship golfer with the many elevation changes during the round.”

Unassuming golf course architect Tom Jackson has shaped for you a golf course here very much like the man himself: elegantly understated. Tom’s Terri Pines design takes full advantage of elevation changes while offering you great views from Cullman County’s highest point.

Our Golf Shop is worth a stop to outfit your game. The course and golf shop are open seven days a week, Monday through Sunday. The Golf Shop offers a full line of current merchandise and supplies. Club cleaning and club repair are also available. Lockers are available for a small annual fee.

Clinics and private lessons are given year-round. Please schedule private lessons by calling the Terri Pines Golf Professional, Matt Livengood at 256-739-0738.

Tom Jackson Courses
Elegantly Understated, Like the Architect Himself

“If you’re one of those golfers who isn’t impressed by a big-name celebrity golf course architect, and the usual high green fees attached, the next time you [get the opportunity] consider a Tom Jackson-designed golf course.

“His website doesn’t have a photo of him holding a design plan standing next to a steam shovel. [His mug isn’t] plastered all over his clubhouses and scorecards. He just builds affordable, enjoyable golf courses for the average golfer…

“Jackson courses … aren’t overly-shaped, which means the courses can stay in good shape without enormous maintenance. His courses are pretty good looking and come with some great holes.”

CLIMATE

Cullman offers an excellent climate for golfers looking to play year-round, characterized by short, mild winters and long, warm summers.

This climate ensures that golf courses in the area, such as Terri Pines and Cross Creek, remain in good condition throughout the year, even during hot, dry weather. The golf courses in Cullman, including Terri Pines Country Club and Cross Creek Golf Course, are noted for their beautiful settings and well-maintained greens and fairways.

Terri Pines, for instance, is situated on the highest point in Cullman County, offering a picturesque backdrop for golfers. Despite occasional rain that may require strategy adjustments, the overall weather conditions contribute to a pleasant golfing experience.

For golfers, this means that Cullman is a viable destination for playing golf at any time of the year. The mild winters allow for comfortable play during months that would typically be off-season in colder climates, while the warm summers offer extended daylight hours for golfing. However, it's worth noting that summer play may involve dealing with higher temperatures and potential dry spells, which we are well-equipped to manage.

Overall, Cullman's climate, combined with its quality golf courses, makes it an attractive location for golfers seeking a year-round playing opportunity.
